Folder maker
Make a whole project folder tree in one go. Pick a starter, change it to how you work, and download the empty folders as a zip. It tells you about names Windows won't accept before you unzip. Made on this device; nothing is sent anywhere.

Questions
- Why a zip and not the folders themselves?
- A web page can't make folders on your computer by itself. A zip is the one thing every computer can open: on a Mac, double-click it; on Windows, right-click it and choose Extract All. You get the whole tree, empty folders included.
- Which names does it warn about?
- The characters Windows refuses (< > : " / \ | ? *), names Windows keeps for itself (CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1 to COM9, LPT1 to LPT9, even with an extension), names ending in a dot, the same name twice in one folder, names over 80 characters, and very long paths. A name that works on Windows works on a Mac too.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The page is locked so it can't send anything off this device, and it keeps working with your internet turned off.
- Can I save my own folder tree?
- Copy the list and keep it in a note. Next time, paste it back in. It's plain text, so it works anywhere.
