QR maker
A plain QR code that never expires. It holds exactly what you type, with no short link in between, so there's nothing that can be switched off later. Made on this device; nothing is sent anywhere.
What's in the code
No need to type https://, it's added for you.
How it looks
Dots
Border
Logo in the middle (optional)
With a logo the code uses its strongest error correction, so it still reads with the middle covered.
Questions
- Will this code ever stop working?
- No. The code holds exactly what you typed, nothing else. It keeps working for as long as the thing it points to exists (your website, your WhatsApp number). Wi-Fi, contact and text codes don't need the internet at all.
- Then why do other QR sites' codes expire?
- Many put their own short link in the code, which forwards to yours. When the free trial ends they switch the forwarding off. We don't put anything in between.
- Can I change where it points after printing?
- No, that's the trade-off. To point somewhere new, make a new code. It also means nobody can count your scans.
- Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
- No. The page is locked so it can't send anything off this device, and it keeps working with your internet turned off.
- What does "scans fine" mean?
- Before you save, the page reads its own code back the way a phone camera would and checks it says exactly what you typed. If colours or a logo make it hard to read, it tells you.
